Halftime Report: Jags v Panthers

JT: As if I were in the locker room giving the speech myself

To the Offense: Look, everyone is injured. Receivers are going down like flys but all we need is number 17. Also, we started running the ball well and then went away from it. Go back to running the ball. We do that every game. I think Dougie P. just loves to throw so much that no matter what the run game is doing the Jags just always “run” away from it. Run it more in the second half please. We can all see that you were making a concerted effort to justify your way-too-high Tank Bigsby draft choice, but then you just stopped running. If you want Tank in the game, fine. Don’t care. Just run it.

To the Defense: Are you this good or is Carolina really just this bad? I realize that Bryce Young can’t see over the offensive line without a step stool, so maybe that is helping Josh Allen hide among the group until he busts through for two sacks. TW and RRH each have a sack as well. Just keep playing like you are playing defense. Change nothing except maybe more of the following…JagsTalk has been saying for over a year to move Travon Walker to the inside. When Mike Caldwell does that in this game, Walker gets a sack. Just saying. More of that please.

To the Special Teams: McManus seems to be back from his December vacation. He seems rested and refreshed and ready to make some field goals. Good for him to get away from the hustle and bustle of the NFL playoff push and relax for almost an entire month. It seems as though his absence worked because he is actually kicking field goals between the yellow uprights, almost like he is paid an obscene amount of money to do so. Good for him. Welcome back McManus.

Let’s Goooooo Jags.
